    The Poet

    Out of the wasteland
    a whisper
and the only thing that matters
    is how long you wait.

    The Poet

Out of the woodland, a fox
calls: Listen. We can be astonished

    together, braid our small lives
    by this feral ritual,

    and make a path
    toward consolation.

“braid our small lives/ by this…”

Love the way into to peace and connection you’ve illuminated through listening together, Kortney.

    Out of the

    depths
I find myself untangled by the reeds of my tests

does this mean that I am to be blessed with the light

    of a new sunrise?

As I emerge to the surface and open my eyes
will I see the pale blue skies?
    or clouds?

    Aren’t both the same anyhow
Aren’t both the opening to our hearts

I must start to emerge from the depths of the waters
without a worry for what may be
because, although the depths have been my safe haven
    my safe place
you’ll still see its trace as I stand in the sun
    a new dawn has begun.

    Thank you for this prompt!

    with love,
    Emma

Thank you for reading and commenting! I feel emerging for me, is really about showing up as all that I am in all areas of my life, having just received a diagnosis for autism and ADHD at the age of 28. How did it speak to you? 😊

I like that idea of emerging as showing up as all that we are. HIddenness often means otherwise—often means eclipsing ourselves for whatever reason.

The idea of emergence always fascinates me. It is part of a process that feels very exciting while also carrying risk. Not for those lacking courage! 🙂

    Out of the
    clouds
    emerge a bagful
    of memories

    In those days
    In the village pond
    above the lilypad
    shines the moon
