How to Write an Acrostic Poem Infographic

How to Write an Acrostic Poem Infrographic
I confess, I did not eat a lot of alphabet soup as a kid. But I did eat my fair share of Alpha Bits cereal, which is nearly the same thing, not counting the fact that soup and milk are no more alike than chicken and cows.

Speaking of which, no chickens or cows were harmed in the creation of this infographic, except perhaps where poultry pride is concerned.

I digress. Whatever your favorite word-spelling platform may be — whether soup or cereal, crossword puzzle or word-find, an acrostic poem is bound to be full of letter-loving fun. So grab a sheet of paper, pick an interesting word, try out our new infographic, and learn how to write an acrostic poem.

I used to be a claims adjuster, helping people and insurance companies make sense of loss. Now, I train other folks with ladders and tape measures to go and do likewise. Sometimes, when I’m not scaling small buildings or crunching numbers with my bare hands, I read Keats upside down. My first novel, Adjustments, is available now.

Your graphics are so creative, LW. And always informative! The chicken saying at the bottom reminds me of Oliphant’s commentary at the bottom of his cartoons.

Love this, LW. Eyecatching, clever, informative. Now I want to write one. Or eat. Or maybe both.

I just penned this as an Acrostic written by a protagonist in my evolving novel-

    Genevieve

    Ghost Sister.
    Each memory in Mother’s shadow
    Now truly gone
    Ending what never commenced.
    Voices, warm behind forbidden doors.
I, the one dwelling in cold silence.
Echoes of Daddy’s song – far away and calling
Visit my frantic dreams, even now –
Even now in my fading years –
    Ghosts everywhere.
