Part of the wonder that is Random Acts of Poetry Day is watching the delight it brings to others. Because there’s no set way of doing it “right,” (it’s random, remember) it seems to open up brand new channels of possibility for every person who decides to participate, and those who find a way to commit a random act, poetically speaking, seem to get just as much joy from the act as those they share with.
We love taking stock of the things that happened, and the ways poetry moved about, randomly speaking. It’s probably true that really doesn’t get much more random than initiating the new refrigerator with poetry.
The new #Frigidaire #refrigerator has arrived! And on "Random Acts of Poetry Day", we present, "An Ode to the Bonney Refrigerator".
The office fridge at Bonney,
It's such a wonderful thing,
It's filled with tasty lunches,
And sometimes chicken wings. #RandomActsOfPoetryDay pic.twitter.com/irkSiDqPiv— Bonney (@mybonney) October 3, 2018
In more expected ways, Sandra Heska King continues to commit poetry, randomly.
Lillee and I recite “The Purple Cow” for Random Acts of Poetry Day. She nailed it. I flubbed it. 🙄 #2 @tspoetry #raopoetryday #apoemineveryheart #commitpoetry pic.twitter.com/InFJdIwmwq

Some folks know the benefit of poetry for processing and reducing stress, on this random day or any other day:
Have you tried writing poetry as a way to express yourself or help process things in your recovery? Today is Random Acts of Poetry Day! Leave a poem on a friend's voicemail, add a poem at the end of your emails, wear a poem, etc. @tspoetry #raopoetry pic.twitter.com/wCSRT7KY4p

And of course public libraries are always ready to get in on the random action.
Happy Random Acts of Poetry Day! Can you recite any poems by heart? Morgan Freeman memorized William Ernest Henley's poem "Invictus" and recited it on Charlie Rose… https://t.co/DGjgVLuAzD https://t.co/DGjgVLuAzD

The cat smells like poo. Ha! (T.S. Eliot might take issue with that.)
L.L. Barkat says
That squirrel is just too fun. In the absence of the mammoth of former years, he’ll do quite nicely. 🙂 Love seeing poetry go far and wide, whimsically.
