My Funny Valentine Playlist

Yes, yes. We all know the quintessential romantic encounter. Dinner for two by candlelight, gazing long hours into one another’s eyes, so smitten dinner is forgotten while the violinist plays Mozart’s “Romance Andante” in the corner and the waiter stands at the ready with a towel folded over his arm.

But somewhere along the line, if it’s going to be a truly good night, someone is going to have to make a joke and someone is going to have to laugh. Trust us. They’ve done studies. In the most general terms, women seek partners who can make them laugh. Men seek partners who can appreciate their jokes.

Either way, humor is an essential ingredient to a good relationship, and may even play a part in evolutionary survival.

We want you to have a happy Valentine’s Day tomorrow, and we’re here to help with a Valentine playlist of great love songs. A Funny Valentine Playlist.

So please, laugh with your love. The future of the human race depends on it.

Seth! You listen to Patsy Cline!

I’m a man of varied tastes! When you grow up in Fort Smith, Arkansas, you learn to appreciate the western things in life. My best friend during was Keith Cline. He claimed to have been Patsy Cline’s distant cousin.

  2. L. L. Barkat says:

That is really cool about the laughter studies. Now this is useful dating advice, I would think :)

LOVED the playlist. The Starbucks one is so funny. Especially when she writes Taylor the “pome.” And he secretly gives her the triple shot. :)

Okay, and where did you find the final country song. Very amusing!!

    • Seth says:

I must give credit where credit is due, and the Starbucks song was sent my way by my good friend Preston Yancey. He has a love for all things poetic and humorous.

As for Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty, well… See previous response to Glenn Young regarding Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Sponsor Poetry (& Happiness)

Every day at Tweetspeak we work hard to bring happiness and personal growth to our audience. Sure, it costs. We could talk about that in terms of what it takes to make a house downpayment, for instance (and not in South Dakota either, you betcha).

Or we could just say this: we do it happily. If you want to be part of that happiness in a small way, you could "Subscribe" for a year. Well, and that would make us happy too. Yep.

We aren't offering anything gimmicky in return. Just a chance to make us smile and keep us mortgage-free. And either way, Tweetspeak will be here for you every day.

We'd love to tweet or Facebook our thanks to you if you sponsor. (And that's no gimmick.) Just tell us not to if you prefer to stay secret.
