Love that left hand and wrist in the “I never lost mine” frame.
Sonnet, sestina, villanelle . . . so hard to get ‘em all straight.
I keep coming back to that “I never lost mine” line — I’ve interviewed so many drivers. If I had a nickle for every time I’ve heard “I’ve been driving for 57 years and I’ve never had a ticket…”
Yeah, I loved that play on the word “license,” since she’s talking about her poetic license but we know the stories in real life.
This lady though? I believe her. I can only imagine the teleutons she gave our poor Poet
