Glynn says
At the end of the day,
when shadows of memory
gather uninvited,
you will find yourself
walking down lanes
of junipers and hedgerows,
wondering not of what
might have been but
of what was, how

Like your poem a lot, Glynn. It is lovely.
Maureen says
We sit at the end of the Sound
Noticing how the unrelenting waves
Push back against the wooden pier
The salt wind rustling the pines
Recalls to us the songs shells
jingled in our ears, reminding us
of the beauty of the pearly sand
we’ll later run our hands through
The beach stretches endlessly
Toward a future we cannot know

Beautiful poetry shared here by all! Which inspired me to write an “at the end” poem too:
