New Release!—Announcing Mildred’s Garden

Mildred’s Garden—Love, Beauty & New Beginnings

A new story is out from T.S. Poetry Press and author Laura Boggess—the second in The Poetry Club Series: Mildred’s Garden.

Mildred’s Garden is a love story on multiple levels.

There’s the fun and poetic romance between Sam (musician) and Mildred (new bed and breakfast proprietor). But the story also includes tender stories from past and present, where love is the defining quality—in the midst of hard times.

Some of the most beautiful moments in the book are from these past and present sub-threads: Two sisters mercilessly turned away from Vietnam, on perilous seas. A Yezidi family that flees from their land due to oppressive and dangerous unrest—only to find themselves meeting more suffering.

These stories tenderly intertwine with Sam and Mildred’s story. And all the stories together bring a few themes to the surface: the healing power of beauty, the vitality of love in its many forms, and the promising chance to “begin again” when life hands us challenges, complications, or deep heartache.
