“Like the most beloved fairy tale, ” says Amy Billone, “Tweetspeak Poetry came into my consciousness through means I do not remember. It was inevitable that I discover [the community] one way or the other, and so as if by magic, I did.” (In whatever way it is that Amy found us, we do remember reviewing her poetry book, The Light Changes!).
Amy loves old movies and has Marilyn Monroe on her phone case and Audrey Hepburn as the picture she sees when she looks at her phone. (She also admits, “I have Marilyn Monroe in more places in my house than one might easily imagine, including on my toothbrush holder!). She also loves traveling and learning new languages. And we love Amy for many reasons (not the least of which is her penchant for midnight).
Favorite ice cream: mint chocolate chip—which, as a child, she used to enjoy in root beer floats, though she was never able to convince anyone else to try the combo.
