Tweetspeak originally began as a playful idea between L.L. Barkat, Glynn Young, and Eric Swalberg. They arranged a live “twitter party” one evening on September 9, 2009, then tweeted lines of poetry to each other.
All in all, that first twitter poetry jam generated 49 tweets which became one poem: At the Oasis, the Camel on Caravan.
After a few similar parties, Tweetspeak was born, as a place to keep the post-party poems that Glynn Young put together from all participants’ tweets.
Now, Tweetspeak has become a place to hear about the newest in good poetry, to see featured poems from its follower-community, to gather and discuss Every Day Poems, and to see what’s new from T. S. Poetry Press.
We hope you’ll find a place for yourself here.

Fun idea! Thanks for making poetry accessible again and helping people to remember their creative, poet-selves.
